At-risk state is Tamil Nadu. However, given the circumstances, state Chief Minister MK Stalin is closely monitoring all activities, and in addition to Tamil Nadu, 18 NDRF teams have been dispatched to Puducherry, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh.

According to IMD, Michong is moving at a steadily faster pace and is expected to make landfall on the east coast shortly. An area of low pressure has developed into a depression, and over the following 48 hours, it is expected to strengthen into a powerful cyclonic storm. The Meteorological Department forecasts that starting tomorrow, Sunday, December 3, there will be high gusts and rain along the coasts of North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra owing to Cyclone Michong.


There might be wind gusts of up to 100 mph.


The cyclonic storm Michong, which is developing over the Bay of Bengal, may depart Chennai early on Monday, December 4, and land somewhere between Nellore and Machilipatnam, according to a storm update released by the Meteorological Department. The wind speed at the moment of the storm might reach up to 100 km/h, according to IMD's stated concern. Fishermen in the south-eastern and south-west bays of Bengal have received warnings from the Meteorological Department not to go fishing or engage in any other commerce.

18 NDRF teams have been deployed in Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Puducherry, and Andhra Pradesh in response to the storm's potential for heavy rains, as reported by the Meteorological Department. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has given the go-ahead for officials to evacuate the residents of the areas affected by Cyclonic Storm Michong and to offer them all possible assistance.


Probability of fog and rain in these states


However, the IMD stated that there will be heavy rain in various locations in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand as a result of the cyclonic circulation over the North-East Arabian Sea and adjacent North Maharashtra-Gujarat coasts, which has formed a line on one side up to South-East Madhya Pradesh. However, there is a chance of rain and snowfall. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be rain in several locations in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha in the upcoming days. In Chhattisgarh, there will be rain and thunderstorms, and lightning is also possible. Apart from this, there's a chance that Meghalaya, Punjab, Haryana, and Assam may see fog.
