Triton EV stated in a statement that it has chosen WMIL as its manufacturing partner for battery-powered trucks for India and the UAE as part of a projected five-year strategic relationship.

On Friday, Wardwizard Innovation and Mobility Limited (WIML) said that it has inked a preliminary contract with US-based Triton EV to produce electric vehicles (EVs) for the UAE and domestic markets.

Triton EV stated in a statement that it has chosen WMIL as its manufacturing partner for battery-powered trucks for India and the UAE as part of a projected five-year strategic relationship.

The local EV manufacturer will also increase the capacity of its production facility to manufacture two- and three-wheelers for the Triton EV. In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding, Triton EV will offer substantial technological assistance for the establishment and growth of manufacturing lines in India, as well as knowledge transfer for hydrogen battery packs used in two- and three-wheelers.

From its Vadodara factory, Wardwizard will assist TEV in producing electric trucks, two- and three-wheelers for the Indian and UAE markets.

Chairman and Managing Director of WIML Yatin Sanjay Gupte said, "We believe confident that this collaboration will expand the 'Make-in-India' initiative as well as pave the way for innovative products." According to the organization, both partners will share their respective suppliers and vendors as part of the partnership, guaranteeing a smooth and effective commercial operation.

Furthermore, WIML will be crucial to the vendor growth process for both sides, guaranteeing a robust and integrated supply chain. The business also announced that, in collaboration with Triton EV, it would soon begin producing trucks, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers powered by hydrogen batteries in India.

As we expand into new areas, this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marks a significant turning point in our approach. According to Himanshu Patel, the founder of Triton EV, "with advanced products as well as cutting-edge technology, this arrangement will not only help strengthen the presence in the Indian and UAE markets, nevertheless will also support the growth of the EV industry.”
