Vivek Ramaswamy: Ukraine is "not democratic," and US attempts to protect Kyiv from Russia's invasion are "disasterous."

Republican candidate for president Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-American, has rejected providing military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in its fight against Russia's invasion, claiming that Kyiv is "not democratic" and that American attempts to help the nation have been a "disaster." Additionally, Vivek Ramaswamy attacked Jewish politician Volodymyr Zelensky for "celebrating a Nazi."

Vivek Ramaswamy stated, "It has celebrated a Nazi in its ranks – the entertainer in cargo pants, a man called Zelensky – doing it in their own ranks," in opposition to providing help to Ukraine. It's not democratic that way. This has to stop with a sensible peace plan since the president of the nation was praising a Nazi inside his own ranks just last week."

The event concerns the 98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka, who fought for the Nazis in World War II, receiving an ovation from the Canadian Parliament.

Other Republican presidential candidates Nikki Haley and Chris Christie criticized Vivek Ramaswamy's stance, stating that Washington had to back Kiev in its fight against Russia. The third Republican presidential debate included remarks on China, Israel, the Holocaust, abortion, and Ukraine.

Ronald Dion DeSantis disagreed with the emergency help to Kyiv, stating that it was "excessive" and would go to government officials, while discussing America's ongoing support for Ukraine.

"We must put an end to this war," he said. The Chinese Communist Party is the greatest menace facing our nation, and the Europeans must rise to the occasion and perform their due part of the responsibility."

Nikki Haley, on the other hand, acknowledged that only armaments should be supplied to Kyiv in its battle against Russia. "No, I don't believe we need to give them money. In my opinion, we need to arm and equip them with the means to prevail. And let me tell you, this conflict would be finished if Biden had fulfilled their request at the outset, Nikki Haley said.

Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina backed US efforts to assist Ukraine as well.

Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, however, expressed strong dissatisfaction with it and denounced Ukraine as "not a paragon of democracy."

After winning the first Republican debate, Vivek Ramaswamy became the most talked-about contender. He believes that his aggressive speech would help him win the presidency. Not that the 38-year-old businessman has gained any favor with his more seasoned competitors—during the Milwaukee event, he declared himself to be "the only person on stage who is not bought and paid for."
