Kupwara: In Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, 41 Rashtriya Rifles (Maratha LI) have a monument of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj erected next to the Line of Control (LoC). This monument was inaugurated on Tuesday by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde would add at this point that Jammu and Kashmir should be proud of the installation of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.


Maharashtra's Minister of Cultural Affairs, Sudhir Mungantiwar, and other dignitaries were present, as per a post on X by CMO Maharashtra. Monday, Chief Minister Shinde met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir before to the event. Sudhir Mungantiwar, the minister of Maharashtra's forests, cultural affairs, and fisheries, was also present at this conference. The troops of the Indian Army displayed remarkable joy while receiving the monument of Shivaji Maharaj at Kupwara.


It is recorded that on October 20, amid drumming and cries of "Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji," the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj riding a horse was greeted at a ceremony held at Mumbai Raj Bhavan. The statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj traveled over 2200 kilometers before arriving in Jammu and Kashmir.


We would like to inform you that Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Minister of Cultural Affairs Sudhir Mungantiwar officially declared the monument to be for Kupwara. After a week of travel, this expedition arrived at Kupwara from Maharashtra. On Padwa Day this year, the foundation stone for this monument was placed at the Indian Army base in Kupwara. The article claims that in order to build it, earth and water were transported from Shivneri, Torna, Rajgarh, Pratapgarh, and Raigarh.
