 Vedanta Q2 results: sales increases 6.4% but net loss is Rs 915 crore


Vedanta's Q2 earnings: Although the company recorded a net loss, its EBITDA margin increased to 28.7 percent, indicating a significant improvement in operational efficiency.


On November 4, Vedanta Ltd. announced a net loss of Rs. 915 crore for the July–September quarter. In the same time last year, the business generated a net profit of Rs 2,690 crore.


Even though Q2 sales increased by 6.4 percent to Rs 38,546 crore against Rs 36,237 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year, the bottom line saw a severe decline.


On the operational front, the firm performed much better, as seen by the Q2 EBITDA margin rising to 28.7 percent against 20.1 percent in the base period.
