News18 Hindi was informed by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav about the deadline for the Vande Bharat sleeper to resume. According to him, the Vande Bharat sleeper train would begin service in March 2024. There will be more decorations on this Vande Bharat. Currently in operation, every Vande Bharat Express is a chair car only—that is, passengers may ride in them while seated. At night, these trains make their way back to the same stations from whence they started. Railways is now planning to improve the convenience of the Vande Bharat trip. They're going to be managed like a capital. This implies a considerable distance will be covered by the Vande Bharat sleeper. These will now operate at night, allowing customers to travel while dozing off.


The Railway Ministry states that only ICF Chennai would produce the first Vande Bharat Sleeper. Its sleeping car will vary somewhat from that of the Rajdhani and other high-end trains. Instead of four restrooms each coach, there will be three in this version. A small pantry will also be created in addition to this.


The Vande Bharat sleeper train would have 823 beds in total. There will be 823 passenger beds and 34 crew beds on board. By December 2023, the sleeper Vande Bharat prototype will be completed.
