NTT Data To Purchase Sapphire-Standing SAP, ServiceNow

To increase its midmarket client base in the United Kingdom and the United States, NTT Data intends to purchase Sapphire, a channel partner for SAP and ServiceNow.

NTT Data plans to acquire midmarket expert Sapphire in order to increase sales of SAP and ServiceNow and expand its client base globally.

This acquisition is part of NTT Data's plan to acquire the London-based solution provider, which employs 420 people and has 1,200 small to midsize business (SME) clients, in order to grow its SAP and ServiceNow customer base.

"We are thrilled to take advantage of the potential Sapphire provides to our international clients, particularly their ServiceNow partnership capabilities," NTT Data Business Solutions CEO as well as vice president of business operations Norbert Rotter said in a statement.

According to Rotter, SAP has extensive experience in both development and consulting, especially in the fields of finance and logistics. "By working together, we can support our customers even more effectively throughout their entire life cycle."

The deal's financial details were kept a secret.

Sapphire is who?

Sapphire was established in 1992 and focuses on providing SME businesses with midmarket business solutions. Sapphire has partnerships with Hexagon, Infor, Amazon Web Services, SAP, and ServiceNow.

With support staff in Argentina, South Africa, India, Lebanon, nor the Philippines, the corporation operates in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

Joining NTT Data, one of the biggest digital operations providers globally, presents a "transformative opportunity" for Sapphire, according to CEO Vince De Luca.

In a statement, De Luca added, "The investment potential as well as global influence from this newly appointed management will empower us to scale domestically in unprecedented ways."

The purpose of NTT Data's acquisition of Sapphire is to enhance NTT's digital operations capabilities for midmarket clients in the United States and the United Kingdom while simultaneously positioning Sapphire as a leading supplier in the SAP systems integrator market.

With its approximately 1,200 current clients, Sapphire has an average connection that lasts seven years. These clients will now be transferred to NTT Data Group, a business with approximately 13,500 employees worldwide spread across more than 30 nations.

Additionally, the relocation will hasten NTT Data's transition to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

According to a statement from NTT Data's Justin Brading, executive vice president of Western Europe, the merged business provides the "only SAP partner competent to comprehensively reliably serve enterprise and midmarket customers' needs."

As a division of NTT Group, NTT Data is a multinational supplier of managed services, IT modernization, industrial solutions, business process services, and consulting with its headquarters located in Tokyo.
