 Nissan plans to spend $575 million by 2025 at a facility in Brazil


Uchida said that Resende would serve as a center for exports to other Latin American nations, and that one of the cars produced there will be the latest generation of Nissan Kicks.


According to global CEO Makoto Uchida's statement on Tuesday, Japanese automaker Nissan plans to spend 2.8 billion reais ($575.22 million) in its Resende facility in Brazil between 2023 and 2025 in order to create two new SUV models.


Uchida said that Resende would serve as a center for exports to other Latin American nations, and that one of the cars produced there will be the latest generation of Nissan Kicks.


The declaration was made one day after Uchida's meeting in Brasilia with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
