Nikki Haley criticizes Vivek Ramaswamy for pointing out her daughter's TikTok use, saying, "You're just scum."
As the audience at Miami's Arsht Center applauded, Nikki Haley responded in a very furious manner, "Leave my daughter out of your voice."
During a heated confrontation on Wednesday night, October 8, during the third Republican presidential primary debate, Nikki Haley attacked Vivek Ramaswamy, pointing out that Nikki's daughter uses TikTok. Previously, Nikki made fun of Vivek's use of TikTok, which some Republican politicians claim is a platform the Chinese Communist Party employs to eavesdrop on Americans.
During the second discussion on October 27, Nikki said to Vivek that TikTok is among the riskiest social media applications available. Furthermore, I must admit that every time I hear you speak, I become a little bit less intelligent.
Hugh Hewitt, the debate moderator, questioned Vivek on Wednesday about how he could seek to outlaw an app that he had used when running for office. "[Haley] made fun of me for joining TikTok at the previous debate even though her own kid had been using the app for a while. Thus, you may want to prioritize taking care of your family, Vivek said.
As the audience at Miami's Arsht Center applauded, Nikki, who was obviously furious, said, "Leave my daughter out of your voice."
It's okay that you have her followers encouraging her, Nikki said as Vivek attempted to carry on. "You just plain stink."
Rena, a girl, and Nalin, a boy, are the offspring of Nikki and her spouse Michael.
The nation "must go further" than just outlawing TikTok, Vivek said. "Any US company that genuinely transfers US data to the Chinese has to be banned," he said.
It's common these days to speak harshly about China. She referred to them as "our great friend" while she was a UN ambassador—her words, not mine. You cannot be just weather supporters of the correct policies," he said.
Nikki continued, stating that her remarks were made at a time when the US, China, and Russia were engaged in intensive discussions to impose "the largest set of sanctions against North Korea in a generation." She informed Ramaswamy, "You could never have completed that negotiation."
Nikki Haley is referred to by Vivek Ramaswamy as "Dick Cheney in three-inch heels."
In a subsequent verbal altercation, Vivek referred to Nikki as "Dick Cheney in three-inch heels." During a conversation on Israel's conflict with Hamas, Vivek made the comment while contrasting Nikki's foreign policy opinions with those of former Republican vice president Dick Cheney. "Do you want a leader who will put this country first, from a different generation?" he posed the question. Do you like Dick Cheney to wear three-inch heels instead?
Nikki continued by emphasizing that she dresses in "five-inch heels." She went on, "And I don't wear them unless you can run in them."
Nikki said, "I wear heels; they're not for a fashion statement; they're for ammunition."
