News from Kanpur: Two suspended after a drunken policeman from the "Dial 112 Department" in Uttar Pradesh urinates on a food vendor's cart

According to India Today, two police officers in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, were punished after one of them peed on a fast food vendor's cart. On social media, the incident's video has become quite popular.

The incident happened on November 1st in the Civil Lines area as Hemant Kumar and Lokesh Rajput, two constables, were having some snacks at a food booth. The civil uniforms of the two constables from the Dial 112 department were on.

According to TOI, one of the police officers, Lokesh, got into a verbal altercation with the proprietor of the food cart before urinating on the vendor's cart. He was apparently under the influence of alcohol at the time. Additionally, when the locals tried to assist him in urinating, he got into a battle with them. Conversely, Hemant, the other policeman, did nothing except watch Lokesh urinate on the vendor's cart.

The report further said that after apologizing to everyone present, the two constables departed. According to the report, the locals said that while a police squad did show up at the scene of the event, they did nothing.

A departmental inquiry has been launched against the two constables, and they have been suspended, according to Kanpur Police's Additional DCP, Lakhan Yadav, who spoke with India Today.

"A departmental examination has also been launched against them so additional action will be taken in accordance with the recommendations of the report," according to India Today.

In the meanwhile, Ritesh, a 19-year-old teenager, was arrested earlier this month by the Railway Police Force (RPF) for reportedly "accidentally" leaking pee while wobbly while under the influence of alcohol. The pair, who were traveling from Harpalpur, Madhya Pradesh, to Hazrat Nizamuddin, set off an alert. The Jhansi Railway Control Room was notified by the traveling ticket examiner (TTE). According to North Central Railways' PRO Manoj Singh, the RPF detained Ritesh when the train arrived in Jhansi and filed a complaint against him. Previous to that, a viral video from Madhya Pradesh in July purportedly showed BJP MLA Pravesh Shukla urinating on the face of a tribal guy.
