According to the MEA statement, the EAM also met with Guido Crosetto, the minister of defense for Italy. The meeting's key objectives were to strengthen strategic cooperation and industrial cooperation in defense manufacture, counterterrorism, cyber security, and the marine sector.


The Italian president reaffirmed during their meeting his unwavering support for strengthening bilateral relations and the bonds between Italy and India and the European Union, according to a news statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi on November 4.


In Rome, Italy, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with Italian President Sergio Mattarella and other high-ranking officials to deliberate strategies for expanding the bilateral strategic cooperation in domains like as counterterrorism, cyber security, and defense.


On November 3, Jaishankar, who had traveled to Rome at the request of his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani, came to an end of his four-day tour of Portugal and Italy.
