 Major News: Bank Holidays Announced! Check names, banks in these states will be closed tomorrow


Bank closures on Bhaiya Dooj 2023: In observance of Bhaiya Dooj, bank branches will be closed tomorrow, November 15, across the nation. Not all states will shut their banks on tomorrow. Due to festivals in November, banks will be closed for a few days. The Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) website, rbi.org.in, reports that banks in a few states would be closed on Bhaidooj.


On November 15, banks in these states will stay closed.


Due to Bhaiya Dooj on Wednesday, banks will be closed in Gangtok, Imphal, Sikkim, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh.

Monday, November 20, is Chhath (Morning Arghya). Bihar and Rajasthan will continue to have shuttered banks.


Tuesday, November 23: Seng Kutsnem/Egas-Bagwal. In Sikkim and Uttarakhand, banks will not open.


Monday, November 27: Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Kartik Purnima or Rasa Purnima. Banks are closed in the following states: Telangana, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, and Hyderabad.


Thursday, November 30th is Kanakdas Jayanti. In Karnataka, banks will continue to be closed.


Not all states shut their banks at the same time.


Every calendar year, the Reserve Bank of India publishes a list of bank holidays. It is crucial that you understand that banks are open throughout the nation. A large number of the holidays on the RBI's holiday list are national in scope. Some are also at the local level. Under these circumstances, it is not required for banks in Maharashtra to shut on the day that banks close in Punjab.
