Life Certificate: Retirees no longer have to visit a bank to provide a life certificate. Nationwide marketing for digital life certificates are being conducted by several large banks.

Now that November has arrived, thousands of retirees nationwide are submitting their life certificates in person at banks, online, and via other channels. Nonetheless, seniors may now easily submit their life certificates to banks. The largest change is that retirees no longer have to visit the bank to turn in their life certificate. Nationwide marketing for digital life certificates are being conducted by several large banks.

What makes a life certificate essential?

The life certificate is being submitted in order to verify the recipient's continued existence. The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) has made it easier for older individuals to submit life certificates using facial authentication. Throughout the nation, there are around 69.76 lakh retirees from the federal government. The simplest method for retirees who don't want to visit the bank is to get a life certificate via facial recognition. We're going to provide you with all the details today.

How to use facial authentication for deposits

On their Android smartphone, retirees have to download as well as install Aadhaar Face RD (Early Access) through the Google Play Store. Additionally, you must download the Jeevan Pramaan app on your phone.

You must go to the operator authentication page after launching the "Jeevan Pramaan" application. It will be necessary to provide personal information here, such as your email address, cellphone number, and Aadhar number.

The pensioner will need to input their information and then submit the One Time Password (OTP) that was issued to their email address and cellphone number.

The pensioner will now be sent by the app to a page where he must input his name and Aadhaar number, tick a box, and choose Scan. By selecting Yes, you must now approve the facial scan in order to continue.

Users will need to tick the "I am aware of this" item in order to proceed, and the app will offer instructions for the face scan. The app will then snap a picture of their face.

Following operator verification, a page requesting pensioner authentication will show up. The retiree will need to provide their Aadhaar number, cellphone number, and, if desired, email address.

Users will now need to provide extra details such as their complete name, account number, PPO number, sanctioning authority, disbursing agency, and kind of pension. They will also need to turn in the data and confirm the declaration.

Following that, people may approve or disapprove of a facial scan. The pensioner will obtain a proof ID and PPO number on their mobile device upon completion of the scanning procedure.
