JSW Steel reimburses JISPL for a fine of Rs 2.79 lakh
In a filing on November 28, JSW Steel said that JISPL had been integrated as of July 31, 2023, in accordance with the National Company Law Tribunal's June 22, 2023 ruling.
On November 28, JSW Steel said that it has settled the approximately Rs 2.79 lakh fine that JSW Ispat Special Products Ltd (JISPL) was assessed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
"In response to a the process of compounding application made for the delaying of filing Form FC-GPR under Regulation 13.1(2) of the FEMA Regulations. 2017, in respect of the issue of shares to a person headquartered outside India, paid and discharged today by JSW Steel, RBI, vide the order it issued dated November 22, 2023, imposed a penalty of Rs 2,79,718 on erstwhile JISPL," the statement read. One of the top six steel producers in the nation is JSW Steel.
