Jeevan Pramaan: Please provide the number of pensioners who have submitted life certificates so far

Jeevan Pramaan: Every year in November, pensioners are required to present a life certificate. The life certificate is presented in order to verify the status of the pension recipient.

November has been going on for more than 12 days, and a lot of individuals have sent in their life certificates. There are now 69.76 lakh Central Government pensioners. On the other hand, a large proportion of pensioners come from state and other government agencies. Through the Jeevan Praman site of the Central Government, a sizable number of pensioners are submitting life certificates this year.

About 45.03 lakh persons this year filed their life certificates between November 1 and November 12, according to data on the Jeevan Pramaan site. 774.04 individuals have used this site to submit their Jeevan Pramaan since 2014. However, life certificates are also being deposited via other channels, such as visiting banks, which is why it is anticipated that a sizable quantity of life certificates would have been placed by now.

The process is rather simple.

Using the Jeevan Praman site to submit a life certificate is rather simple. Pensioners must download both the Life Certificate and Aadhaar Face RD apps on their smartphones in order to accomplish this. It requires pensioners to provide their PAN, Aadhaar, and PPO number. After obtaining the seniors' biometrics, this procedure may be finished quickly—in around five minutes. Your cellphone number receives a confirmation SMS after this. Your life certificate is also readily available for download on the Jeevan Pramaan site.

This is how it works.

The Jeevan Pramaan app must first be downloaded from the Play Store for Android users. Pensioners must provide their Aadhaar number, PPO number, bank account number, bank name, and cellphone number after downloading.

OTP will be sent to you. Add the OTP. In the next page, provide your name and email address before selecting "Scan Finger." Use the fingerprint or iris scanners that are linked to your computer, smartphone, or tablet to scan your fingerprints or irises.

The system screen will display the message "Device Registration" as soon as the fingerprint or iris is verified, as shown in the image below. Press OK.

Following this, a certificate and authentication will be created. Put your phone number and Aadhaar here.

Enter OTP, then choose OK.

Enter the necessary data on the page that appears after, including the pensioner's name, PPO number, kind of pension, name of sanctioning body, name of disbursing agency, email address, and bank account number. Choose Remarried and Re-Employed choices after that.

The procedure of scanning your finger or iris will then begin when you click the "Scan Finger" button.

The pensioner's life certificate will be available for viewing and an SMS acknowledgment will be sent to their cell phone upon successful fingerprint and iris identification.
