Indian travelers are exempt from the need for a visa to Malaysia. Verify specifics
Following Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam, Malaysia will remove the need for Indian people to have an entrance visa starting on December 1st in an effort to grow its tourist sector.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim claims that Malaysia has officially declared that, following Vietnam, Thailand, and Sri Lanka, it would no longer need entrance visas for Indian nationals traveling there starting on December 1.
The decision was made as the nation attempts to grow its tourism sector, with Chinese and Indians accounting for the majority of visitors globally.
Anwar made the announcement at his People's Justice Party's annual conference in Putrajaya on Sunday. Indian nationals are allowed to enter Malaysia without a visa for a maximum of 30 days. He said that there will be security inspections.
Malaysia is depending on more visitors and their spending to sustain economic growth. In an effort to promote the admission of travelers and investors, "particularly from India and China," Anwar last month revealed intentions to enhance visa procedures for the next year.
Vietnam
China and Indians may now enter Vietnam without a visa.
Germany, France, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Denmark, and Finland residents are now able to enter Vietnam without a visa.
Additionally, it provides e-Visas with multiple entrance privileges and a 90-day validity period for people of all nationalities in other countries.
Thailand
Additionally, Thailand announced last month that Indian and Taiwanese visitors will be able to enter the country without a visa for a six-month period beginning on November 10 and ending on May 10, 2024.
"We will grant visa-free entry to India and Taiwan since many of their citizens enjoy visiting Thailand," Thai Prime Minister Shretha Thawijan was reported by news agency AFP as stating.
Sri Lanka
As a trial project, the Cabinet of Sri Lanka has authorized the free issue of visas to citizens of India, China, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand till March 31, 2024.
"Cabinet has approved issuance of free visas to India, China, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia and Thailand with immediate effect till March 31 as a pilot project," Sabari had previously said on his website
