Here's how Nammayatri's clever notice pokes fun at Sam Altman's comeback:
In Bengaluru's IT community, Sajetan, @narayantejas, made a social media post that went viral. The message includes a clever notice from the ride-sharing service Nammayatri, implying that their uptake is more rapid than CEO Sam Altman's return to OpenAI.
A recent social media post by X user Sajetan, also known by the handle @narayantejas, has generated excitement among netizens in a city renowned for its vibrant tech culture. A notice from the well-known local ride-sharing service Nammayatri is included in the article. It says, "Pick up faster than the speed of... Sam Altman's return." Make your transportation reservation today."
The article is rather interesting and has gained notice for its humorous perspective on how fast Bengaluru commutes are. "And this is my peak Bengaluru moment," said Sajetan, tagging @peakbengaluru and Nammayatri in his post on his experience on the site.
Called the Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru is well known for both its quick growth of the country's transportation infrastructure and its tech-savvy populace. The notice is made funnier by the joke about Sam Altman rejoining OpenAI as CEO, implying that the ride pickup happens faster than even well-known individuals.
Recall that on November 17, OpenAI said that CEO and co-founder Sam Altman had been fired due to inconsistent board communications. The board said that it "no longer has confidence" in Altman's competence to manage OpenAI in a statement posted on its website.
But within a week, OpenAI said on X, "We have an agreement in principle for Sam Altman to rejoin OpenAI as CEO, with Bret Taylor (Chair), Larry Summers, and Adam D'Angelo leading a new initial board." We are working together to resolve the specifics. I really appreciate your patience throughout this.
Shortly after being appointed CEO of OpenAI again, Altman declared his passion for the company and that all he had done in the previous few days had been done to keep the team at the AI firm together. "I love openai, and everything i've done throughout the past few days has been in service of bringing this team and its mission together," Altman wrote on X, expressing his emotions. It was obvious that joining MSFT was the right move for both the team and myself when I made that decision on Sunday night. Building on our solid cooperation with msft, I'm looking forward to returning to openai with the support of W Satya and the new board.
