 Government's multi-crore investments are turning Indore into a major railway hub: Minister of Railways Vaishnaw


Work on projects involving hundreds of billions of rupees to double the railway line, convert to a new gauge, and build additional rail lines in six directions of the city is ongoing in an effort to establish Indore as a major railway hub. The rail lines connecting Ratlam, Indore, Mhow, Khandwa, and Akola, as well as those connecting Indore, Madhod, and Jabalpur, are among these projects.


Vaishnaw has been designated by the BJP as the joint in-charge for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections on November 17. He said that the BJP will once again create a government in Madhya Pradesh with a sizable majority, citing sources.

According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, railway projects valued at hundreds of crores of rupees are being undertaken to transform Indore, the financial capital of Madhya Pradesh, into a major railway hub.


On November 3, he made the announcement after the opening of Ramesh Mendola's main election office. Mendola is the current BJP MLA from Indore-2 and the party's candidate in the forthcoming assembly elections from the same seat.

The rail lines connecting Ratlam, Indore, Mhow, Khandwa, and Akola, as well as those connecting Indore, Madhod, and Jabalpur, are among these projects.


In addition to upgrading the world-class status of Laxmibai Nagar and Indore's principal railway stations, Vaishnaw said that construction is underway on a multi-modal freight terminal.
