Program began in 2019.

On behalf of Prime Minister Modi, the government launched the PM Kisan Yojana in 2019. This program aims to provide financial support to farmers who own arable land. The initiative provides that the farmers who qualify would get Rs 6000 a year. The benefited farmers get these funds in three payments of Rs 2,000 each. The farmers who pay income taxes and those who work for the government do not get any benefits from this arrangement.

The government published the fourteenth installment in July. The government has previously informed us that farmers whose accounts are not connected to several portals would not get a credit of Rs 2000. The authorities has learned that some farmers who are not qualified are also using the program. Following this, the e-KYC procedure was initiated in order to verify farmers. In addition to Bhulekh verification, Aadhaar seeding is required.
