 'Cybersecurity incident' exposed subsidiary IMS, according to Infosys


Infy added that in addition to launching an independent investigation to determine any possible effects on systems and data, it is collaborating with a top cybersecurity solutions vendor to find a quick solution to the problem.


On November 3, Infosys Ltd, a provider of IT services, notified the exchanges that Infosys McCamish Systems (IMS), a subsidiary, had become "aware of a cybersecurity event resulting in non-availability of certain applications and systems".


The business said that in addition to working with a top supplier of cybersecurity goods to find a quick solution, it has also started an independent inquiry to determine the possible effect on data and systems.


Infosys said in a regulatory filing that "data protection and cybersecurity are of utmost importance to us."


On the BSE, Infosys shares ended the day 1.36 percent higher at Rs 1,389.10 a share.


Unlike many of its international competitors, the Bengaluru-based IT services firm has ordered certain staff to report to work 10 days a month.


The corporation requested that a few workers in entry- to mid-level positions come in ten days a month beginning on November 20 in an email. The company approved full-time remote work after the coronavirus epidemic, which other workers are still able to do.
