The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the publication of the CTET 2024 Notification on November 3, 2023, via the official website, ctet.nic.in. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which will administer the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in January 2024, has released the notice for the test. The announcement is made public on ctet.nic.in, the official website. Those who would want to take the test may apply online between November 3 and November 23, 2023. The CTET 2024 Exam Date and further information are available to candidates below.


Date of CTET 2024 January Exam

On January 21, 2024, from 09:30 AM to 12:00 NOON for Paper 1 and from 02:00 PM to 04:30 PM for Paper 2, the CBSE held the December Exam. A paper for primary teachers teaching grades 1–5 and another for upper primary teachers teaching grades 6–8 will be conducted.  The test will be administered offline.

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be administered by CBSE via the official website, ctet.nic.in. The CBSE published the official test announcement on November 3, 2023. Applicants will also need to pay the test fee in order to complete their CTET application.

How can I apply for the 2024 CTET January Exam?

Fill up the CTET 2024 application by doing the following:


Step 1: Go to ctet.nic.in CTET, the official website.


Step 2: On the site, choose the 'Apply for CTET-Jan2024' link.


Step 3: In the event that you are a first-time user, choose the "New Registration" option and fill out the form with your name, date of birth, email address, and phone number.


Step 4: Enter your registration number and password to log in if you are an already registered user.


Step 5: Carefully fill out the application form, including the sections pertaining to your category, teaching experience, educational background, and personal information.


Step 6: Upload scanned copies of the necessary paperwork, along with a picture of you and your signature.


Step 7: Use a debit card, credit card, or net banking to make the online application fee payment.


Step 8: Check all the information you've submitted, make any necessary edits, and submit your application.


Step 9: Download the application, fill it out, and print it off for your records.


CTET Admit Card 2024

To take the test, students must get their e-Admit Card from the CTET website. The admission card will be made available on January 1st.


CTET 2024 Qualifications

The NCTE has announced the minimal requirements to appear in the CTET. The NCTE website, https://ncte.gov.in, is recommended for applicants to examine the qualifying requirements.


Paper 1: Primary Stage (Classes 1 through 5)


completed or enrolled in the final year of a two-year elementary education diploma program from an accredited university or institution; OR a two-year elementary education diploma program with a minimum of 45% marks; OR four years of a bachelor's degree in elementary education (B.El.Ed) from an accredited university or institution with a minimum of 50% marks; OR a two-year special education diploma program with a minimum of 50% marks from an accredited university or institution.


How long is the CTET 2024 Certificate valid?


The CTET qualifying certificate has an unlimited validity period. The amount of times a person may try to get a CTET Certificate is not limited. Applicants who passed the CTET may reapply in order to raise their score.


FAQs about CTET 2024


First Question: I'm a first-year student pursuing an education degree. Might I apply?


No, only those enrolled in their last year are qualified.


Can't I submit the form if I don't have a B.Ed?


Answer: No, the B.Ed. Qualification must be submitted.


Will I be given a job by CBSE if I pass the CTET?


Only examinations are conducted by CBSE. Creating jobs or employment is outside of its purview.
