It accounts for 36% of all fixed deposits placed by government banks. But the bank has stunned its clients this Diwali. Fixed Deposit has not been updated by SBI Bank since February 2023. Since then, SBI has neither raised or lowered the interest rate on FDs. This level of interest on FD is presently being offered by SBI.

7 days to 45 days FD: The bank offers the general public 3% interest and senior people 3.50% interest.

FD of 46 days to 179 days: The bank offers the general public 4.5% interest and senior people 5% interest.

180 days to 210 days FD: The bank offers elderly people 5.75% interest and the general public 5.25% interest.

FD from 211 days to less than a year: The bank offers elderly people 6.25% interest and the general public 5.75% interest.

FD of one year to less than two years: The bank offers the general public 6.8% interest and senior people 7.30% interest.

FD from two years to less than three years: The bank offers elderly people 7.50% interest and the general public 7% interest.

FD from three years to less than five years: The bank offers the general public an interest rate of 6.5% and senior people an interest rate of 7%.

For FDs of five years and up to ten years, the bank offers the general public an interest rate of 6.5% and senior citizens an interest rate of 7.5%.


The Amrit Kalash Scheme of SBI


Additionally, SBI, the biggest public sector bank in the nation, is providing its clients with a unique 400-day FD. This program is called "SBI Amrit Kalash." Senior people get 7.60% interest on 400-day fixed-rate deposits under the SBI plan, while ordinary customers receive 7.10% interest. You may invest up to Rs 2 crore under this plan.
