A spokeswoman for the Interior Ministry, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, told Agence France-Presse (AFP) that "42 people died in Rukum and 92 in Jajarkot," identifying the two districts that were most hit. impacted by the earthquake, in the border province of Karnali, which is situated south of the epicenter.
