Alejandro Garnacho's brother Roberto has chastised football legend Rio Ferdinand for saying that Lionel Messi had unfollowed the Manchester United winger. During Sunday's Manchester United vs. Everton Premier League game at Goodison Park, Garnacho stunned the internet with an overhead kick. Garnacho came up with Ronaldo's famous "SIU" celebration around the corner flag after discovering the back of the goal. Ferdinand later said that Messi unfollowed Garnacho due to the Manchester United player's compliments to Ronaldo.

What do I appreciate about him, you ask? He doesn't believe in rumors. Garnacho informed me that Messi unfollowed him only due of his open admiration for Ronaldo. 'I'm the Ronaldo guy,' he says, coming out without caring. The goat is who? Ronaldo, even when he's playing for Argentina," Rio Ferdinand said on his YouTube program Vibe with Five.

Roberto Garnacho, the brother of Alejandro Garnacho, was not amused by Rio Ferdinand's assertions. Roberto called Ferdinand's version "fake" when he expressed his opinions on the subject on social networking site X (previously Twitter).

"Fake, Messi never followed him, discontinue things just to create hatred, Garnacho loves and admires themselves both and you," Rio Ferdinand's video was cited by Roberto Garnacho in a letter. Everyone is attempting to incite competition."

The former Manchester United and English defender was heard stating in the video, "My boy told me that Messi unfollowed him (Garnacho) because he shows out, I don't care I'm Ronaldo man, who has the goat? 'Ronaldo.'"

Rio Ferdinand ultimately responded to the intense social media controversy that Roberto Garnacho's remark had created, saying, "What a sarcasm brother."

Alejandro Garnacho has played three international football matches for Argentina. Garnacho and Cristiano Ronaldo have shared a dressing room at Manchester United throughout their time competing domestically. The 19-year-old Argentina international has made 54 appearances for Manchester United and has scored eight goals. Manchester United defeated Everton 0-3 in the Premier League thanks to his most recent outstanding goal.

During Manchester United's Europa League encounter against Galatasaray last night, Alejandro Garnacho found himself on the scoreboard once again. Nevertheless, Manchester United and the Turkish squad were forced to play to a 3-3 draw.
