 According to US media, Matthew Perry was buried in a private ceremony


According to US media sources, actor Matthew Perry was put to rest at a Los Angeles cemetery on Friday after having a private burial. According to reports, Perry's family attended the funeral with all five of his co-stars from the popular sitcom Friends. It is said that the two-hour burial ceremony took place in the Forest Lawn cemetery, which is close to Warner Bros Studios.


Perry, 54, was discovered dead at his Los Angeles residence last Saturday. It is unknown what caused him to die. The postmortem examination yielded no clear evidence, and toxicology test results are pending for authorities to review. From 1994 until 2004, the actor portrayed the witty Chandler Bing on the television series Friends. Fans and even celebrities expressed their sorrow upon learning of his passing.


Fame from friends couldn't drive out deep demons

Several famous people from Hollywood, such as Carrie Fisher, Paul Walker, and Stan Laurel, are buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.


US media released aerial and long-range photos taken outside the event, including co-stars of Perry's Friends, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, as well as David Schwimmer. There was also his stepfather, mother, and father. In all, TMZ reports that around twenty individuals came who were all dressed in black. Perry passed just a year after his book Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, which detailed his lengthy battle with alcohol and prescription painkiller addiction, was published.


A new foundation was established in Perry's honor to assist individuals battling addiction on the same day as his burial. Quoted on the Matthew Perry Foundation website, Perry said, "When I die, I want helping humanity to be the first thing that's mentioned - I don't want Friendships to be the first thing that's mentioned."Co-creator of Friends Marta Kauffman stated that she talked with Perry two weeks ago and that he looked to be "in a really good place" and "happy and chipper" on NBC's Today show.
