There will be bonuses for 14.82 lakh state workers.


Chhattisgarh applied for permission from the Election Commission after Rajasthan.


Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel said that state workers would get dearness allowance on par with the central government. The Chhattisgarh government has applied for approval to grant dearness allowance to the Election Commission. Prior to the assembly elections, the Rajasthani administration had drafted a proposal and submitted it to the Election Commission. The DA for Rajasthani workers and pensioners was raised after approval. The Chhattisgarh government has doubled the workers' dearness allowance this year.


Tamil Nadu and Chandigarh also contributed presents.


The governments of Chandigarh and Tamil Nadu have also declared that their staff would get a 4% raise in deferred income. The Tamil Nadu government claims that 16 lakh workers would profit from this rise, which takes effect on July 1. The government exchequer would be burdened with more than Rs 2500 crore as a result.
