According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, an Israeli attack on the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank resulted in the deaths of fourteen Palestinians.


According to locals, there were two drone strikes during the attack, which resulted in at least 20 more injuries.


It is among the bloodiest recent occurrences of its sort in Jenin, which Israel has attacked often in an effort to combat extremists.


According to the Israeli military, covert teams had been sent to apprehend individuals.


Overnight, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the camp, demolishing handmade explosives with armored bulldozers. According to the IDF, a group of gunmen was attacked with a drone, and troops also came under fire. The already severely damaged streets were torn apart by the bulldozers.


Hours later, the IDF said, soldiers returned to the camp amid fresh shooting. It claimed that gunmen were attacked by a different drone.


The air force allegedly dropped pamphlets on the locals during the fighting, informing them that "the IDF remains here and will return again and again until terrorism is completely eradicated." Avoid terrorism and have a peaceful life, the Jerusalem Post published.


For the last year and a half, the Israeli military has been conducting almost nightly arrest raids across the West Bank in response to a wave of fatal Palestinian assaults that claimed the lives of over thirty Israelis.


The UN claims that this year has been the worst in the West Bank since it started keeping track of Palestinian deaths in 2005, with over 400 Palestinians—both terrorists and civilians—killed by Israeli troops or settlers.


Jenin has emerged as a key hub for Palestinian militants operating in the West Bank, and has been the source of many attacks by Palestinian assailants.


Palestinian health authorities said that four Palestinians had died in different sections of the West Bank.


The war in Gaza, which started following an exceptionally lethal assault on Israel by Hamas terrorists on October 7, has exacerbated already high Israeli-Palestinian tensions in the West Bank. Since the start of the conflict, three Israelis and more than 150 Palestinians have died in the West Bank.
