"Your government awarded him the Padma Vibhushan," says Sanjay Raut, taking aim at PM Modi for downplaying Sharad Pawar's accomplishments

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut poked fun at Prime Minister Narendra for downplaying Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar's accomplishments by questioning why the BJP administration awarded the politician the Padma Vibhushan.

"For ten years, Pawar Saheb served as Minister of Agriculture. He was an expert, not merely a minister of agriculture. The agricultural revolution is credited to him. Pawar got to where he is by himself. Raunt said the ANI news agency, "Shaving Pawar has helped people through his NGO, so creating a PM care fund is not a big task."

Prime Minister Modi singled out Pawar this week, claiming that certain Maharashtrian politicians only pursued public office on behalf of farmers who were forced to rely on intermediaries in order to get payment for the sale of their products.

During the UPA administration, Pawar, the NCP party's founder, oversaw agriculture.

"You now long for every drop of water thanks to those who are engaging in vote politics in the name of farmers." Some Maharashtrians engaged in politics only on behalf of their farming community. The nation's minister of agriculture was a prominent Maharashtra politician. Though I do appreciate him, what accomplishments has he made for farmers? Without mentioning Pawar, Modi said.

Raut said that after the PM's remarks, Modi visited Maharashtra and distracted people from important matters.

"Modi came to Maharashtra but were unable to speak on the suicide of farmers, did rather than speak about the question of Maratha reservation and the fast of Manoj Jarange Patil since it was aimed at criticizing the leader of the state" .

He also remarked that Ajit Pawar, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, ought to have stepped down from the platform while the prime minister was speaking about Sharad Pawar.

"As the prime minister of the nation, it doesn't fit you. PM Modi is listing Sharad Pawar's flaws today, whereas yesterday you were applauding him. Does he have amnesia? It was Ajit Pawar's responsibility to exit the podium when Modi ji misspoke regarding Pawar Saheb. Sharad Pawar is being criticized by PM Modi today for visiting Maharashtra. He is going to bash Balasaheb Thackeray tomorrow as well. Modi and the BJP are people-persons exclusively. Advani, Atal, was not respected by them, according to Sanjay Raut.

One of the NCP Party's breakaway MLAs is Ajit Pawar. He recently severed his relationship with Uncle Sharad and publicly backed the Shiv Sena, the political party of the governing BJP led by Eknath Shinde.

Ajit Pawar ought to have left the dais while PM Modi was criticizing Sharad, according to former state minister Anil Deshmukh.

"In order for PM Modi to retract his statement (about Sharad Pawar), Ajit Dada ought to have either left the dais (in protest) or provided him with accurate information," Deshmukh said.

According to the head of the NCP, PM Modi has already commended Sharad Pawar for his services to the agricultural community.

Deshmukh asked that the Prime Minister retract his remarks against Sharad Pawar, claiming that Modi had suddenly shifted his position in advance of the polls.
