Eric Garcetti, the American ambassador to India, rode the Delhi Metro on Thursday and spoke with other riders.

Eric said on X that because it was his first time using the Delhi Metro, he had a good time.

"Wow! Thank you Delhi Metro for making travel so simple! I had a terrific day meeting other riders and riding the Delhi metro for the first time. I'd want to give a shout-out to the world's greatest public transportation system, which is well-maintained, effective, and environmentally friendly. On 'X', Garcetti wrote.

According to DMRC, Garcetti rode the Delhi Metro today on the Magenta Line from RK Puram to Okhla NSIC Metro Station.

His Excellency Mr. Eric M. Garcetti, Ambassador of the United States of America to India, rode the Delhi Metro today from RK Puram to Okhla NSIC Metro Station on the Magenta Line, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted. Along the way, he spoke to other travelers and complimented how well-kept and effective the Metro was.

According to ANI, Garcetti recently said that India and the "great minds" in his own country might discover additional avenues for peace.

"I'm really happy to see India and the United States of America together for a world with greater peace. But we need to be creative. In the next five to ten years, the world will change more than it has in the previous 100 years. But brilliant brains in India and the United States can collaborate to develop additional avenues for peace, he added.

'Swavlamban 2.0,' a two-day conference put on by the Naval Innovation as well as Indigenisation Organisation (NIIO), included Garcetti in the plenary session.

He stressed that both countries are working together and improving their bilateral ties to ensure a "safer tomorrow."
