US ambassador enjoys jhaal muri and biryani while visiting the Durga Puja pandal at CR Park in Delhi

Eric Garcetti, the US ambassador to India, spent Saturday at the Durga Puja pandal at Delhi's Chittaranjan Park (CR Park), taking in the festive atmosphere.

Garcetti uploaded a video of himself taking part in pandal hopping in CR Park.

The US representative was shown enjoying traditional Bengali foods including luchi, fish curry, aloo-chicken biryani, jhaal muri, and desserts.

He was also seen doing the well-known Dhunuchi Naach dance in Bengali.

Shubho Pujo to all of you! I had a fantastic day attending the cultural events, pandal hopping in Delhi's CR Park, and, of course, indulging in some delectable Pujo fare. I'm still in awe of @IncredibleIndia's incredible cultural variety as I continue to take part in various events around the country, the description of the video says.

He engaged in photo-taking with guests at the pandal while also watching youngsters perform on stage. Garcetti sampled jhal muri, biryani, puri, seafood, and desserts during his visit to the pandal.

Every year, the Hindu goddess Durga is honored and her triumph over Mahishasura is celebrated at the Durga Puja festival. Devotees worship the nine avatars of Goddess Durga during the nine-day Navratri celebration in an effort to win her blessings.

Every day of Navratri is dedicated to one of Goddess Durga's nine incarnations. During these nine days, people maintain ritualistic fasts, recite shlokas to each Goddess, wear new clothing, give bhog, and clean their houses.

On October 19, Garcetti rode the Delhi Metro and spoke with the other riders. He reported having a terrific experience meeting other riders and riding the Delhi metro for the first time.

"Wow! Thank you Delhi Metro for making travel so simple! I had a terrific day meeting other riders and riding the Delhi metro for the first time. I'd want to give a shout-out to the world's greatest public transportation system, which is well-maintained, effective, and environmentally friendly. On X, Garcetti wrote.

Eric Garcetti said earlier in September that India has shown the most successful G20 ever.
