A man has been detained in connection with the murder of a Swiss lady, whose corpse was discovered in the Tilak Nagar neighborhood of West Delhi on Friday, according to the police. Lena Berger's corpse, half-covered in a black waste disposal plastic bag, was discovered on Friday morning next to a public school.

Gurpreet Singh has been detained by the police in relation to the incident.

Police sources claim that the accused met the lady in Switzerland, where they later became friends.

According to police sources, Gurpreet, who often traveled to Switzerland to see Berger, believed that she was seeing someone else.

According to Delhi Police sources, Gurpreet then devised a plot to kill Berger and requested that she go to India.

On October 11, Berger arrived in India at Gurpreet's invitation.

Gurpreet brought the victim into a room, bound her wrists and legs, and murdered her five days later. He first stored Berger's corpse in a vehicle that he had purchased using a woman's identification. He dumped her dead on the road and departed the scene, but a foul scent soon emanated from the automobile.

According to reports, Gurpreet was located by Delhi Police after learning the vehicle's registration number from the CCTV video. They took Gurpreet's second four-wheeler as well as the vehicle in which the corpse was stored.

Additionally, they obtained 2.25 crore from Gurpreet's home.
