Sumit Antil won gold on Day 3 at the Asian Paralympics in the Javelin F64 event with a record throw


Sumit Antil and Pushpendra Singh demonstrated their talent in the men's Javelin Throw-F64 final on the third day of the 4th Asian Para Games, earning the top spots on the podium.


According to ANI, Sumit accomplished a fantastic performance by shattering records with a throw of 73.29 meters, including the Asian Para Games, World, and Asian marks. In his third effort of the day, he turned in this performance, winning the gold medal.


Pushpendra Singh, meanwhile, won the bronze medal in the same competition.


Arachchige Samitha of Sri Lanka won the silver medal with a noteworthy throw of 62.42 meters, while Pushpendra Singh took second place and the bronze medal with a throw of 62.06 meters.


India finished with a total of 36 medals, including 10 gold, 12 silver, and 14 bronze medals, placing them in fifth place overall.


The Indian team will be eager to build on their Day 1 performance, which saw them finish with 17 medals (6 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze).


With 303 participants, including 191 men and 112 women, India has made a great showing in the fourth Asian Para Games. The number of Indians participating in the continental competition has never been this great.


India sent 190 participants to the 2018 Asian Para Games, and they were very successful, winning 72 medals, including 15 gold ones. Up to that moment, it had been their greatest showing at the quadrennial competition.
