Shubman The Indian team's worries ahead of their first World Cup game against Australia have increased due to Gill's health issues; the batter is a questionable starter for Sunday's game. Ishan Kishan might start in Gill's place if he is unable to do so.

He would get a dengue test on October 6, according to an earlier report. The test results are positive, according to sources cited by ANI.


Since arriving in Chennai, Shubhman has been experiencing a fever. They are performing his tests. A BCCI source with knowledge of squad affairs previously told PTI on the condition of anonymity that he will undergo tests on Friday and a decision will be made on his participation in the opening game.




It typically takes 7 to 10 days for dengue patients to fully recover physically, with some cases taking longer.


"Let's not act prematurely. If it's a typical viral fever, he may be able to play on antibiotics, but it's entirely up to the medical staff to decide," the source had previously told PTI.
