Should Rohit Sharma continue to use a three-spinner lineup for the ICC World Cup 2023? It depends, says Harbhajan

Harbhajan Singh, a former Indian spinner, offered his opinion on whether India should play three spinners or a pacer during the World Cup.

The "Men in Blue" began their World Cup campaign with a win against Australia after a tough battle.

One aspect of Inda's playing XI that caught our attention was the inclusion of three spinners: Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja.

India is getting ready to play Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday, and it was unclear whether India will choose a team with three spinners once again or not.

"It would depend on the surface; if the game is played on a surface like Chennai's, then three spinners may play against any team. Even though it is said that Pakistan plays spin well, it may be against South Africa, who does not play spin well. Even against Afghanistan, three spinners should play if the surface permits; otherwise, a top-tier seamer like Mohammed Shami should sit outside, according to Harbhajan Singh.

On the day of the match, India will be making last preparations in an effort to win two games in a row.

Among the players seen sweating it out in the nets were India captain Rohit Sharma, ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, spinner Shardul Thakur, and batter Suryakumar Yadav.

India's batting performance against Australia in their World Cup opener in Chennai stumbled. Thanks to Virat Kohli's 85 and KL Rahul's 97, Men in Blue were able to recover from being 2/3 and go on to win the match by six wickets.

Rohit Sharma (captain), KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shardul Thakur make up the India team.
