Sharad Pawar "stood behind you like a rock," the NCP leader responds to the Ajit Pawar-led faction's insult of "fiefdom."

NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad expressed strong disapproval of the most recent accusations made against NCP leader Sharad Pawar. Sharad Pawar allegedly came under fire from a party section led by Ajit Pawar for allegedly treating the organization as his "personal fiefdom".

Jitendra Ahwad responded to the accusations with an emotional statement in defense of Sharad Pawar. He emphasized that despite charges that he was running the party like his "personal fiefdom," Sharad Pawar continued to back the faction.

"The issue is sensitivity; it is not a matter of technical or legal issues. You were raised by Sharad Pawar, who also backed you up like a rock. You stated he was managing the party like a personal domain; these statements run against to Sharad Pawar's character, Awhad told reporters in Nagpur, according to ANI.

Sharad Pawar has never acted outside of democratic norms, the speaker continued.

A day after the Election Commission of India (ECI) summoned the opposing NCP factions for a private hearing about allegations regarding the party name and emblem, Jitendra Ahwad was replying to questions.

The National Congress Party broke up into two factions as a result of Ajit Pawar's rebellion. Currently, Sharad Pawar leads one faction and Ajit Pawar, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, leads the other.

Sharad Pawar was the target of a faction led by Ajit Pawar that moved to the Election Commission. His faction is fighting for control of the party's name and emblem.

In July of this year, a faction led by Ajit Pawar knocked on the Election Commission's doors. In the midst of a conflict between the two factions, the faction is laying claim to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the party emblem.

The EC then acknowledged the division in a letter to both factions of the party. Additionally, it instructed Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar to exchange the papers they had each filed to the election board.

In response to an appeal made by Ajit Pawar, the EC gave the Sharad Pawar-led NCP group a show-case notice in July. According to the petition, Ajit Pawar should be elected NCP president and given the party's emblem in accordance with the 1968 Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order.
