Results from PVR Inox Q2: Multiplex announces net profit of 166 crore; revenue increases 53% QoQ
The operator of the cinema network PVR Inox declared a net profit of 166.3 crores on Thursday, up from a loss of 82 crores in the first quarter of current fiscal year.
The company's revenue in Q2FY24 increased 53.3% from Q1FY24 to Q2FY24, reaching 1,999.9 crore.
The merger of PVR and INOX went into effect on February 6, 2023.
EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization) increased by 706.8% during the quarter from 353 crore (QoQ), while the EBITDA margin increased dramatically by 830 basis points (bps) to 35.3% from 27%.
