Rahul Gandhi said, "As I stated about Covid-19, China, I am stating again that Congress would ensure that a caste census is undertaken in the nation.
Rahul Gandhi said at a news conference on the caste census that the PM's intention was to divert. He will continue to bring up plenty of diversions in the future. This [caste census] is a choice based on fairness rather than politics.I've said it before about Covid, China, and I'll say it again: Congress will force the nation to do a caste census.
"The PM cannot conduct the caste census. Out of our four CMs, three are from the OBC group. Only one OBC member makes up the BJP's ten chief ministers. How many BJP chief ministers are OBCs? After the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, the Congress leader said that the PM doesn't work for the OBCs but rather to divert their attention from important concerns.
Rahul Gandhi also pledged to put pressure on the administration to carry out the caste census.
"Since the nation needs a caste census, we will put pressure on the BJP to undertake one. I believe the majority of the parties will be in favor of the INDIA alliance. We don't have any issues, even if a small number of parties may not agree with it, Rahul Gandhi said.
He said that the Chief Ministers of Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh concur that it is a crucial move.
