On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent Dussehra or Vijayadashami greetings to everyone in the nation, stating that this sacred holiday conveys the message of putting a stop to destructive forces.


PM Modi sent his best wishes for Vijayadashami to his family members all around the nation in a post on X (previously Twitter). This sacred celebration spreads the idea that evil must be eradicated and kindness must be adopted. Wishing you all a Happy Vijaya Dashami!"




"Happy Dussehra, everyone in the country, from the bottom of my heart!" On the occasion of Dussehra, President Droupadi Murmu sent congratulations to the Indian people.


She said, "Dussehra, which is also known as Vijayadashami, motivates us to walk the path of faith and honesty. I hope that everyone has a happy and prosperous celebration and that we all continue to advance along the lines of justice and truth in the sake of all of mankind.


Home Minister Amit Shah said on Vijayadashami that the triumph of the light of righteousness founded on truth is everlasting.


"Happy 'Vijayadashami' to all of my fellow citizens. The triumph of the light of justice based on truth is everlasting, Amit Shah remarked, regardless of how thick the darkness of wickedness is.


He said, "Vijayadashami is a holiday that inspires and instructs us to constantly pursue the path of knowledge and truth. It symbolizes the triumph of virtue over sin. May Lord Shri Ram provide blessings to everybody. "Jai Shri Ram!"

On the occasion of Vijayadashami, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also sent his best wishes to the state's residents.


"The Vijayadashami celebration represents the triumph of virtue over evil and truth over lies. The Uttarakhand chief minister was cited as stating, "Today, we should be free from ego in our lives, walk on the road of truth, and work together for the social peace of the state and the nation.


A significant Hindu holiday known as Vijayadashami, sometimes referred to as Dussehra, is observed annually after the conclusion of Navaratri.


It is celebrated on the tenth day of the seventh lunar month of Ashvin in the Hindu calendar. The celebration normally takes place in September and October in the Gregorian calendar.


The celebration also heralds the beginning of Diwali, the significant festival of lights that follows Vijayadashami by 20 days.
