Pat Cummins is unconcerned that Australia lost against South Africa and India; here's why

Australia has won the most ICC World Cups of any nation. However, after two consecutive defeats, the Kangaroos are now in a bind. Australia's 2023 Cricket World Cup campaign was off to a losing start as they were defeated by India by 6 wickets and South Africa by 134 runs. But captain Pat Cummins doesn't appear very concerned.

"So, the camp has been in terrific spirits. Everyone's wonderful. Everyone is eager to make a change. The two teams that we lost to in the round games there, in my opinion, when I look back on 2019 are India and South Africa, the Australia captain was reported as saying by ANI.

"I believe these are the two clubs that we've had the greatest difficulty playing over the last year. We have the chance to be really confident when we go out there because we have certain teams that we haven't faced in a long but have had success against.

Australia's success formula

Cummins said that the formula for success is straightforward: win every game moving forward.

"Given that we are 0-2 thus far, we need to start winning and win fast. Now, every game resembles a championship. You've got to win almost all of them, Cummins stated at the news conference before to the game.

The outcome of the next games will be crucial in deciding whether the five-time world champions advance to the knockout rounds of the competition.

On October 16, the Australia versus. Sri Lanka game will take place in Lucknow's Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium.
