 Indian trapped in Israel amid Hamas attack on multiple fronts: "We are in deep trouble"


An Indian resident of Israel has used social media to contact the government and explain the dire situations he has been in since Hamas attacked Israel from many fronts, infiltrating its land and launching at least 5,000 missiles and rockets at it.


The Indian Prasad claimed that more than 5,000 rockets had been launched at Israel and that "we are in deep trouble." At least 27 people who left for a pilgrimage to Jerusalem are currently stuck in Bethlehem because of the rising tensions between Israel and Palestine, according to Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma. To assure their safe return, he claimed to have spoken to the Ministry of External Affairs.


Conrad Sangma posted on Twitter that 27 Meghalayans who were on their way to Jerusalem for the Holy Pilgrimage were stranded there because of the conflict between Israel and Palestine. I'm in contact with the Ministry of External Affairs to make sure they return home safely.

India issued a warning to its citizens living in Israel urging them to "remain vigilant" and "observe safety protocols" after Israel and Palestine exchanged airstrikes, escalating already strained tensions.


All Indian citizens living in Israel are urged to exercise caution and follow all safety precautions recommended by local authorities in light of the country's present security situation. In its alert, the Embassy urged people to exercise caution, refrain from needless activity, and hunker down close to emergency shelters.
