On October 7, India issued a warning to its citizens living in Israel urging them to exercise caution and adhere to safety procedures. On Saturday, Palestinian insurgents in the Gaza Strip launched more than 5,000 rockets toward Israel, triggering air raid sirens all around the nation. When Hamas launched an unprecedented offensive against Israel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that "We are at war."


"In view of the current circumstance at Israel, all Indian nationals in Israel are reminded to remain vigilant and observe safety protocols as advised by local authorities," the embassy noted in the advice.
