In a dispute about Sanatan Dharma, BJP leader Bommai threatens that he "won't be silent" if Hindu emotion is wounded

Former chief minister of Karnataka and prominent Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) figure Basavaraj Bommai vowed to speak out if someone offended Hindu sensitivities, according to PTI. The announcement coincides with a debate about Sanatan Dharma.

To those seeking to halt the Lord Ganesha holiday celebration in Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai issued a warning. Bommai said that if someone attempts to damage Hindu emotions, they would no longer keep mute and will take stern action.

Should we be silent if our Sanatan Dharma is likened to malaria, he continued? We have Sanathan Dharma coursing through us. If someone attempts to damage our feelings, we won't remain silent.

The former CM said that efforts were being made to stop Ganapati festivities on October 7 while addressing at the Hindu Jagruthi convention in Bankapur, Haveri district.

The office of Bommai released a statement in which he was quoted as saying, "We belong to the Sanatan Dharma which promotes the welfare of all human beings in this world." He emphasized the fact that, in contrast to Pakistan or Afghanistan, residents of Karnataka practice all major world faiths, highlighting the state's secular ethos.

Who is accepted here?" Bommai questioned. Some refer to the Sanatan Dharma's nature as dengue and malaria. Do they have the audacity to equate other faiths with such illnesses? If they had, what would have happened?

When the BJP was in charge of the State, he said, no 'bad force' was allowed to exert influence. "The culprits of the riots in Bengaluru were not spared," he claimed, referring to the 2020 DJ Halli-KG Halli violence, "but later the Congress leaders issued letters demanding the withdrawal of the cases against the individuals involved in the arson and looting in those

two places."
