 In Bihar, a derailed North East Express left 4 people dead and 100 injured.


Buxar: The North East Express train derailed in Bihar on Wednesday, leaving at least four people dead and almost 100 others injured. An official said that the event happened about 9.35 p.m. outside Raghunathpur station in Buxar. The train was traveling to Kamakhya near Guwahati in Assam when it left Anand Vihar Terminus in Delhi.

Speaking to NDTV about the event, Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey stated that teams from the federal and state disaster response agencies have arrived at the scene.




He said that the wounded individuals will be sent to AIIMS, Patna.


The Health Department, the Disaster Management Department, and the district authorities of Buxar and Bhojpur have all been contacted, according to Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, to expedite the relief and rescue efforts. 


According to the office of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, they are "closely monitoring the unfortunate disaster" of the train near Raghunathpur. 


They continued by saying they were in contact with other agencies as well as the Buxar district government.
