The government recently declared that employee DA/DR will rise by 4%. Currently, the government is getting ready to offer its workers another present. According to sources, the government is reportedly planning to throw a double bonanza this Diwali. When the secretariat reopens after Dussehra, the bonus and dearness allowance file will be ready.


The revised rate for the dearness allowance will be applied.


Following the Chief Minister's advice, non-gazetted personnel will get bonuses, while teachers and state employees would receive dearness allowance at the revised rate. Additionally, preparations are being made to provide the bonus before Diwali. The state government would bear an extra expense of Rs 300 crore as a result of an increase in DA. Non-gazetted workers get bonuses based on a rate set by the Center. A maximum bonus of Rs 7000 would be provided to the workers in accordance with this. The state government would spend more than Rs 1000 crore extra as a result of this.


Additionally, 7 lakh government pensioners benefitted.


The Yogi Cabinet had already approved a 4 percent rise in DA/DR. Beginning on July 1, workers will receive the enhanced DA/DR amount. In addition to the workforce, this would also assist the state government's 7 lakh retirees. Before Diwali, this money is anticipated to be paid in the October paycheck. As a result, the government will also pay the October wage rise plus three months' worth of arrears. Employees are now receiving DA at a rate of 42 percent, which will eventually rise to 46 percent.


Let us inform you that the government announces DA hikes twice a year. Every year, the first DA rise takes effect on January 1 and the second on July 1. Additionally, the Modi Cabinet resolved to raise DA/DR for 49 lakh workers and more than 65 lakh pensioners by 4%.
