Tickets for the 2023 Cricket World Cup: Users have begun to doubt BookMyShow's reliability. The costs are described as "ridiculous" by critics.


In the secondary market, tickets for the match between India and Pakistan at the next Cricket World Cup 2023 are going for as much as Rs 56 lakh. There are numerous match tickets available for between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 22 lakh. Viagogom, which bills itself as the "world's largest source of live entertainment tickets," is where the tickets are being offered.




One ticket from the South Premium West 2 block at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad reportedly sold for more than $19 lakh, according to a Mint report.


Users have begun to doubt BookMyShow's reliability as the official ticket provider for the 2017 World Cup. They have referred to the exorbitant prices as "ridiculous".


Viagogo is a website that sells tickets, and the prices are rather high. When all tickets are officially sold through BookMyShow, the designated ticketing partner, it begs the issue of how this is possible, according to one of the users on X.


"@bookmyshow must provide some verified information on how many of the 1,32,000 available tickets were actually put up for sale and how many were purchased on both dates. And the same information for each match MUST be OFFICIALLY given," added another.


"Black market is now hot...Prices for the India vs. Pakistan match start at 1.5 lac, and I have seen tickets for as much as 15 lac with Long On view.This is crazy," a different social media user commented.


There is a significant amount of interest in India's involvement in the tournament's other games as well. Tickets for the India vs. Australia game at Chennai's M. A. Chidambaram Stadium are going for as much as 2.85 lakh rupees on the ticketing website. At Lucknow's Ekana Cricket Stadium, tickets for the India vs. England game are going for 2.35 lakh. Tickets for the India vs. South Africa game at Kolkata's Eden Gardens are going for 2.35 lakh.
