Belgium, France, and Portugal became the first teams to qualify for Euro 2024

As the three European powerhouses triumphed to qualify for the competition, Mbappe, Ronaldo, and Lukaku each scored a goal.

With a spotless qualification record, Kylian Mbappé and Cristiano Ronaldo each scored twice to help France and Portugal qualify for the 2019 European Championship. On Friday, Belgium also secured a place in Germany.

The three European powerhouses each needed a victory to secure their place in the competition, and their star attackers made sure they did.

Mbappé scored twice, including a long-range goal in a 2-1 victory against the Netherlands in Amsterdam to give his team a flawless sixth victory in Group B.

Mbappé scored the game's first goal in only the seventh minute by volleying past Brighton goalkeeper Bert Verbruggen, who was making his international debut for the Netherlands, after beating Lutsharel Geertruida to a cross from the right by Jonathan Clauss.

Mbappé tied France legend Michel Platini with his 41st goal in international play.

In the 53rd minute, Mbappé extended the advantage after passing to Adrien Rabiot on the outside of the Netherlands' penalty area and looping a shot over Verbruggen.

With 10 minutes left, Feyenoord midfielder Quilindschy Hartman made it 2-1 in his first complete international outing. The goal was France's first in the current season.

With a 2-0 victory against Ireland in Dublin, Giakoumakis and Giorgos Masouras propelled Greece up to second position with 12 points.

The Netherlands is still third with nine points and a game remaining. The top two teams from each group advance automatically.

At 125 goals, Ronaldo holds the record.

Ronaldo scored twice to give him a record-high 125 goals in 202 games for Portugal, and he also helped Portugal defeat Slovakia 3-2.

Ronaldo increased the advantage to 2-0 in the 29th minute by scoring from the penalty spot and fooling Martin Dbravka, the Slovakian goalie.

Forward A header by Gonçalo Ramos gave the hosts the lead 11 minutes earlier.

Ronaldo restored a two-goal lead from a low cross from Bruno Fernandes that reached him at the far post in the second half after David Hancko gave Slovakia a point.

After scoring his seventh goal in six qualifying matches, he leapt high in front of the cheering Porto crowd in his signature celebration.

In the 80th minute, Slovakia's second goal was scored by Stanislav Lobotka.

Portugal has a 100% record with three games remaining following seven consecutive victories and the best-ever 27-2 goal differential in a European qualification campaign. The first team to score against Portugal was Slovakia.

"The objective has been achieved, the first half was outstanding and in the subsequent period we could have scored additional goals," Fernandes said. "Playing in the finals of Europe is the realization of another dream."

After holding Iceland to a 1-1 draw in Reykjavik, Luxembourg is behind Slovakia by two points in third place and has 13 points overall.

Bosnia defeated Lichtenstein by a score of 2-0 and now sits in fourth place with nine points, two ahead of Iceland.

Lukaku leads the scoring chart.

In order to defeat Austria 3-2 in Vienna and move from Group F, Belgium needed to hold on with 10 men. Romelu Lukaku struck once again and Dodi Lukebakio added two more goals.

Three minutes after Lukebakio's second goal, in the 58th minute, Lukaku collected a beautiful ball from Jérémy Doku and beat goalkeeper Alexander Schlager to make it 3-0.

With nine goals from six games, Lukaku leads the qualification scoring charts, bringing his total for his 79 international appearances.

In the 12th minute, Lukebakio advanced down the right before scoring from a close angle inside the far post to give the Red Devils the lead. The Sevilla striker scored his first goal at the international level.

"I was waiting for these goals for a very long time," Lukebakio remarked. "There was no better time for me to score my first goals for Belgium," the player said. In the 72nd minute, Konrad Laimer restored Austria's lead, and six minutes later, midfielder Amadou Onana was dismissed for receiving a second caution, reducing Belgium to 10 men. The second Austrian goal came from a penalty kick by Marcel Sabitzer in the 84th minute, but the home team was unable to respond.

Following its first defeat in qualification, Austria is three points behind Belgium with 16 points after six games.

With six points from five games, Sweden, which remained inactive on Friday, is third and still has a slim chance of passing Austria.

Azerbaijan defeated Estonia 2-0 in the other game of the group to get its first win and go up to four points. One point goes to Estonia.
