At age 49, Parag Desai, Wagh Bakri's ED, passed died
According to several accounts, Parag Desai, the Executive Director of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group, which owns the Wagh Bakri tea brand, died at the age of 49. His wife Vidisha and daughter Parisha are still alive.
The Time of India reported citing sources that Desai died away on October 22 at a private hospital in Ahmedabad where he had been brought after a "freak accident" during his morning stroll close to the Iskon Ambli road on October 15.
He spent seven days on a ventilator before dying on October 22 from a number of health issues, the article claimed.

Desai oversaw the company's sales, marketing, and export divisions throughout his more than 30 years as an entrepreneur. The business generates more than Rs. 1,500 crore in revenue.
Desai was a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), among other organizations, and was a prominent industry leader and prolific tea tester.
Desai is referred to be "an expert tea taster and evaluator" on the Wagh Bakri website.
It was noted that he has an MBA from Long Island University in the USA.
