The CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra, Anand Mahindra, shared a new start-up he has invested in's product on social networking platform X, previously known as Twitter.


"A group of IIT Bombay students have once again made us proud. They have developed the first folding diamond frame e-bike in the whole globe with full-size wheels. In addition to being 35% more efficient than comparable folding bikes, this also increases the bike's stability at speeds greater than medium. And it's the first bicycle that doesn't need lifting after folding, according to a post by Mahindra.




Mahindra, who seemed pleased with the invention, told his followers that they may buy the new e-bike on Amazon and Flipkart. But not before revealing that he is a Hornback investor.


I drove my own HORNBACK X1 around the workplace complex. (I have invested in their company, full disclosure.) Both Amazon and Flipkart sell Hornback, he said.


According to their profile on X, Hornback is a consumer goods firm that specializes in offering intelligent mobility solutions. Mahindra's support was appreciated by the startup, which also said that the billionaire's "inputs have been truly of tremendous value."


Numerous responses were left on the plantform in response to Mahindra's article. Dharmendra Pradhan, the Government of the Minister of India of Education and Minister of Talent Development & Entrepreneurship, was also quoted.


"Congratulations to the graduates of IIT Bombay for their ground-breaking sustainable transportation solution. The human capital of India is opening up fresh opportunities for a brighter future and changing the game's rules, Pradhan wrote on X.


I appreciate Anand Mahindra's support and investment in the Hornback bike, he continued. Such connections between business and academics are a step toward releasing the gifted young people of India's entrepreneurial spirit to its full potential.
