 6th flight from Israel carrying 143 people, including 2 Nepalese, arrives in Delhi as part of Operation Ajay


Israel-Hamas conflict news According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Operation Ajay's sixth flight, which was sent to Israel and Gaza to rescue Indians fleeing conflict, has arrived in Delhi. Even as Israel's retaliation attacks against Hamas in Gaza reached their 15th day, this just happened.




On Sunday night, the sixth aircraft from Tel Aviv touched down in the nation's capital Delhi with 143 people on board, including 2 Nepalese. At the airport in New Delhi, the Ministry of Steel and the Ministry of Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste welcomed the travelers.


The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesman, Arindam Bagchi, shared an update from his official account on X, writing, "6th #OperationAjay jet arrives in New Delhi. Onboard the aircraft were 143 people, including 2 Nepalese nationals. welcomed at the airport by the MoS @SteelMinIndia & @MoRD_GoI @fskulaste.


India is now conducting Operation Ajay to rescue nationals caught up in Israel's escalating battle with the terrorist group Hamas.


Earlier on Tuesday late at night, the fifth flight carrying 286 Indian people, including 18 Nepalese citizens, touched down in New Delhi.


According to an earlier statement from the Ministry of External Affairs, around 1,200 people, including 18 Nepalese nationals, have already been safely flown back from Israel as part of "Operation Ajay," and further planes may be deployed depending on the situation.


The central government is evaluating the situation in Israel amidst the current conflict with Hamas, according to MEA spokeswoman Arindam Bagchi.


He denied any claims that there had been any Indian casualties in Gaza, although he did say that one Indian person had been hurt.


The MEA spokesman said that there are perhaps four Indian citizens in Gaza and another 12 to 13 in the West Bank.


"We don't have specific figures, but there are probably four Indian nationals in Gaza. In the West Bank, there are 12–13 Indian nationals.It's a bit difficult to leave Gaza. There are some rumors that some have already left, but we won't confirm anything until we hear back," he added.


The Indian nationals praised the continued effort to repatriate those affected by the war, claiming that the Indian embassy provided help and that the evacuation procedure was "nice and quick".


The Indian embassy requested that people exercise caution and register their names with the consulate after the Hamas strikes on Israel.
