16 people had a precarious escape when a bus in Valsad, Gujarat, catches fire

A bus carrying 16 people caught fire early on Friday morning on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway close to Pardi hamlet in the Valsad district.

According to the authorities, the event did not result in any recorded deaths or injuries, ANI said.

According to the officials, the event happened when the bus was traveling from Ahmedabad to Belgaum in Karnataka.

"There were 16 passengers on the bus, and all were evacuated safely," according to the police.

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway had to be shut down for almost two hours as firemen battled the blaze as a result of the event.
